Ever wonder how fast runners get fast? Sure, for some it may be genetics. But for most people it’s about hard work and the right training. That’s why Nike+ Run Club is creating a virtual training program designed to help you run faster and get fitter.
But, in case you don’t want to go at it alone, there will be local running groups implementing the program throughout the summer months, so you stay motivated, supported and inspired. Keep reading to get more details.
Need for speed: Get fast with Nike+ Run Club’s new program
Finishing a marathon seems like every runner’s goal lately. But with its newest campaign, Nike is switching up that focus on endurance and replacing it with a new one: speed.
“We’re going to have some pretty epic training,” announced Nike coach Joe Holder at an event kicking off the brand’s new campaign, called “Find Your Fast,” which debuted on July 2.
The centerpiece of the campaign is an ad spot featuring 13 inspiring professional athletes like Serena Williams, Kobe Bryant, and track star Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, all showing off their personal relationship to speed. “They have to be able to find their unique fast,” Holder explained. “That’s what we’re going to take you through.”
How do they plan to get you into high gear? Nike+ Run Club has created an eight-week training program available for download, and its local groups will be implementing elements of the program on weekly runs throughout the summer (starting on July 9).
